ElleQuartet is a sparkling young saxophone quartet with a strong musical personality. Elle shows a deep passion for music, which is transmitted by her energy and personality on stage.
ElleQuartet has performed at a wide variety of music halls such as: Auditório da Reitoria da Universidade de Aveiro, Café Concerto do Cineteatro Alba, Auditório do Cineteatro Alba, Auditório do Conservatório de Música do Porto, Theatro Club de Póvoa de Lanhoso, Teatro Aveirense, Teatro Viriato em Viseu, Fundação Manuel António da Mota, Teatro Helena Sá e Costa and more recently at the Coliseu do Porto.
In 2013 Elle realized a tour playing at five different cities in the North of Portugal. During the same year, the group was invited to play at the Saxophone Festival “SaxOPorto 2013” and with the "Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras" and Ivan Lins. In 2014 ElleQuartet performed the work “Ciudades”, with a version specially arranged by Guillermo Lago for ElleQuartet and the “Banda de Música da Força Aérea Portuguesa” at the International Saxophone Festival of Palmela. In 2015 ElleQuartet performed the same work at the Festival SaxOPorto´15 with the Banda Militar do Porto. During the same festival the group performed two world premieres which were dedicated by the composers to ElleQuartet: "Tokyo" written by Guillermo Lago and "Time Zero" by Nuno Lobo. Elle is regularly invited to music festivals such as: “CulturaViva – II edição” and “Festival Oito Mãos – Monumentos com música dentro”.
Elle and composer and pianist Telmo Marques have been collaborating in several musical projects since 2015. At SaxOPorto´15 ElleQuartet presented a national premiere of a work written by Asha Srinivasan with Telmo Marques on piano. In addition, ElleQuaret realized a series of concerts with the Big Band of ESMAE, under the artistic direction of Telmo Marques. Together they performed at festivals such as “5º Ciclo Jazz na Ordem”, “Festival ESMAE’15”, “Rampa Jazz Festival” and “CCC – Concertos, Conversa” at the Coliseu do Porto.
Since 2015, the ElleQuartet has been a SELMER-Artist.
